Stefanie Ritzmann was born with severe physical disabilities because of the drug "thalidomide" prescribed to her mother during pregnancy. Growing up in homes and clinics, she nevertheless makes her way over the years. But the price is high. Time and again, the dark cloud of depression looms over her. Until she confronts her early childhood traumas and finds the strength to open up to others and for others: She gets involved, she interferes - and founds the first advisory board for the disabled in a municipality in Baden-Württemberg.
